Final Book Cover

ISO: 400
APP: 2.8
SS: 200

This is my final book cover project and although this may look like it was the easiest thing you could do, IT WAS NOT. This took me a little over an hour to perfect because of the very detailed cracks in the plate i could not use a real plate and failed several times with a paper plate so finally i resorted to using card stock paper which also took several times before i could finally get it almost exactly like the original. For this picture i used a 7D, 17-50 lens, and a 580 flash. I bought 3 orange poster boards, paper plates, card stock and other materials incase al else failed. This was harder than it looks but I'm happy with the way t turned out and how similar i could get it.

Final creeper

ISO: 800
APP: 10
SS: 250

So this is my final picture for the creeper project and i have to say I'm pretty pleased with it. I took our motto "get your butt dirty" to a whole new level... just ask Sydney. This project was to say the least difficult but really fun at the same time. I learned a lot more about setting up off camera flashes by doing this project. I set up in the theatre with the help of Sydney, Sara, Faith, and Maegan. We had two off camera flashes, 2 syncs, 2 pocket wizards, and an umbrella for lighting. I put the flash with the umbrella directly in front of faith creating a soft light source to illuminate her and i put the flash with no umbrella directly in front of sara creating a hard light source for the shadow to be clear. At first i did not have the curtain pulled behind sara and the picture was still turning out well it just wasn't looking realistic so by adding the curtain it gives the picture the movie theatre scene and the creepy look as well.

Publications/ Photography Banquet

Yesterday was the annual publications/ photography banquet and it was really cool. Seeing all the memories we made as a whole was crazy. Im really going to miss our seniors and all the fun weird vibes they left for us to continue spreading throughout the campus. NYC was my favorite memory of this year because it gave publications and photography a real bonding experience throughout the bus rides, plane rides, hotel rooming and street walking we all got much closer than we came. Im so excited for next year and i really hope its just as good if not better then this past one.

Southern Tropics

I volunteered to take a picture of Southern Tropics after school for the newspaper. I used a 7D with a 430 flash and a 10-24 lens. My settings were set at 100 ISO, 200 Shutter Speed, and 4.0 APP. I decided to take this picture during the morning because it would be closed and there would be no cars parked in front go the building so you can actually see it. I brought a flash with me but with the sun shining super bright the flash only made it overexposed so i did not use it. The hardest part about taking this picture was finding a spot where the sun wasn't shining into the lens.

SELFIES R STUPID

Selfies are so lame that i just had to take one of me doing the 27189463829 blogs that are due in a bit to make fun of how self absorbed and lame they are and how they shouldn't win any awards ever. SELFIES ARE FOR THE WEAK.

Spence Headshot

ISO: 800
APP: 2.8
SS: 100
I was assigned to take a head shot of Mrs. Spence for the newspaper. This was an easy assignment because I have gotten head shots down pretty well. I think I did a pretty good job and it deserved to be used because the settings were right and the subject was in focus exactly as asked.
