Focal lengths

ISO: 100
APP: 1.8
SS: 1250

This was also a part of the photography adventure I went on. I found these cool metal pipes outside of the photography building. I wanted to play around with different focal lengths so i just took pics from   different places on the fence. I think the exposure is good for all the photos but the middle one is a bit underexposed. It was difficult to get the middle photo because the focus was going crazy so i had to put it on manual in order to get the fence out of focus.

School Graffiti

ISO: 100
APP: 1.8
SS: 1250

This was also a part of the photography adventure. I found this super cool street art on the side of our building and thought it would make a great blog because its not often that you see graffiti at Texas High considering how nice the campus is. I think the exposure is correct for the most part but it could be a bit brighter.

Rando stool

ISO: 100
APP: 1.8
SS: 1250

So this is a random stool me and Jordan found sitting outside the art building and i just felt the need to take a pic of it. I think the exposure turned out good and all the settings are correct. The only difficult part was getting the camera to focus on the stool and not the wall but i played with the focus settings and eventually got it.

Pot or not?

ISO: 160
APP: 1.8
SS: 640

Jordan and I went on a photography adventure around the school, I found this sketchy truck who had a random plant growing in the back that me and Jordan joked as being pot. Anyways, I think the pic is good but I could have adjusted the shutter speed a bit because the whites are super bright in this photo.

Fun pics of Jordan

ISO: 800
APP: 1.8
SS: 250

These are super cute pics of Jordan Rowe, I think they really show her inner beauty and charisma. Also, I really needed a blog so i just took these random pics so I could play around with the camera and still get work done.

Artsy Computer

ISO: 800
APP: 250
SS: 1.8

I took pics of this super cool thing the photos did to the computer because I really needed a blog. So, I grabbed a 7D and a 50mm and took these cool artsy pics.

Architecture ideas

for my architecture photo i would really like to get a picture of the grimm hotel or an older building like this one and get it at an angle. I don't really know much about shooting architecture or like how you spot a good place or anything so this is probably gonna be the most difficult of the two Top photos. I don't really know if it matters or not but i think it will be cool shooting this during this week because its supposed to rain all week and the hotel is already super creepy looking so i think it will make it look a little cooler if thats even a thing

Childhood fear idea

I decided to do swallowing pills as my childhood fear and these are a few pictures that I'm thinking about recreating. I think this will be pretty easy bc my parents totally have a lot of pills bc they both have medical issues but I'm still trying to figure out if I need to use off camera flash or shoot in a studio or if I could just take this at my house so its like more realistic i guess bc we have like a pill cabinet and as a kid i always hated when my mom would go to it and tell me to come take my medicine.

Gregory Oliver

ISO: 200
APP: 2.8
SS: 200
I volunteered to take a head shot of Gregory Oliver which was super easy just like every other head shot. I did have some issues with exposure but they were easy fixes. the only like real problem i guess i ran into was trying to find him bc of testing.

Jada Glover

ISO: 640
APP: 2.8
SS: 100
I volunteered to take a head shot of Jada Glover. This assignment was super easy as always, but i do need to start finding more spots to take head shots in bc i use the same brick wall for every one.

Jonnajah Isaiah

ISO: 800
APP: 2.8
SS: 100
I volunteered to take a headshot of Jonnajah Isaiah. This was probably the most awkward head shots I have ever taken. I thought this was a boy and I didn't know how to pronounce her name so when I went in to ask I basically was like hey do you have any one with the last name isaiah bc i need a head shots of him and then she was like well I have a girl named blah blah blah and she pronounced it like so not how it sounded and then i was like okay yeah and then she turned to the girl sitting literally right beside me and was like okay you can go.... it was so awkward and i felt like she hated me the whole time. The pictures weren't bad but the situation was awful. I learned that you should just write the name down and show the teacher instead of attempting the impossible.

Cullen Schoen

ISO: 400
APP: 2.8
SS: 250

I volunteered to take a head shot of Cullen Schoen which was basically like playing hide and seek. It took me literally FOREVER to find him. I think these pictures turned out okay but the exposure wasn't as good as I would like and he is super tall so I did the best I could to get eye level and not shoot upward. Head shots are easy assignments but they still make up a lot of the yearbook so if I didn't think the image was usable I would retake it. Anyways, here he is. FINALLY.

Conner Anderson

ISO: 100
APP: 2.8
SS: 100
I volunteered to take head shots of Conner Anderson and a few others. This head shot was probably the worst out of all of the photos because I had him put way over to the side of the courtyard so the back ground wasn't appealing. This was a small mistake that made a big difference. idrk why I made it bc I know how to take head shots but I think I just got a little lazy.

Headshots

ISO: 125
APP: 2.8
SS: 100
I volunteered to take head shots of Malik Gales and Damian Willis for a basketball spread. I was told not to take anymore pictures in the courtyard because apparently everyone does and its becoming repetitive. These were both easy to set up and easy to take. I think they are usable and I'm pleased with both of them. I really like the color in these head shots just because it looks really vivid. I wouldn't really change anything other than the fact that Malik refused to smile which made the photo seem dull.

Rachel Stewart Head Shot

ISO: 160
APP: 4.0
SS: 200

I volunteered to take a head shot of Rachel for a lunch spread in the year book. I was told to choose a different spot to take the head shot because normally I just shoot them in the court yard so there is a green back ground but since I take a lot of head shots they're all starting to look the same. I just took this on on the outside of the court yard where I could still get good lighting but have a different background.

Girls Varsiry Basketball Game

ISO: 800
APP: 2.8
SS: 160
I volunteered to shoot the varsity girls basketball game against Greenville. This was a challenge for me because I had only shot one basketball game before this and was almost getting the hang of it. Im not really happy with my pictures because I didn't get a lot and most of the ones I did get didn't have the "wow" effect I was looking for.  After being hit with the ball 5 times and being sick I think it effected my attitude about the game. I think they are usable images I just think i need a bit more practice. This game wasn't a fun one for me.

Boys Basketball JV

ISO: 1600
APP: 4.0
SS: 250
I volunteered to shoot the jv boys basketball team play lobo at six. This was my first time to ever shoot a basketball game. It was fun but scary at the same time because I didn't know what I was doing. Shooting wasn't difficult, it was the trying to figure out what to shoot that had me worried. Israel told me not to shoot free throws or jump shots so that was the only thing I really knew not to do. I think I got some okay shots for it being my first time but I deffinatly want to do better next time. Now I sort of have an idea of what to shoot so I'm hoping next time I can get some better pictures. Also, most of my pictures were blurry so I will need to play with my settings some before shooting.

Landen Ryden Headshot

ISO: 160
APP: 2.5
SS: 200
I volunteered to take a head shot of Landen Ryden. I actually really like the way these head shots turned out. I played with my settings before I went and got him and got it to where my colors in the background were really vivid and the subject is lit up. I think these photos are usable for the yearbook and I wouldn't change the way I did anything. The assignment was pretty easy, like I said in past blogs head shots have become much easier for me since I've had plenty of practice.

Raven Morris Headshot

ISO: 200
APP: 1.8
SS: 150
I volunteered to take a head shot of Raven Morris for a volunteer spread for yearbook. This assignment was relatively easy. Head shots used to be one of my worst areas but now that I've started taking as many as I can so its gotten a lot easier. I think the photos are usable and they could be used in the yearbook for whatever spread. At first I had some trouble with my settings because it was dark in the courtyard and then super sunny in certain parts but i adjusted my settings a little brought my ISO down and turned the flash off and the images looked much better.
